Catching up..

With my blogging. I made these two blocks in the last week or so, and thought I’d better get them on my blog.

Block B4 – Chris’s Soccer Field

This one was lovely and easy and has only 21 pieces.B4 - Chris's Soccer Field

This is Block B5 – Hot Cross Buns

Oh how I hate to do those tiny corners in Applique. I managed these doing reverse Applique, but I’m not sure which method is the easiest.
These aren’t perfect but its the best I can do. Only 15 Pieces.

Busy Busy..

I have been hard at making some more Nearly Insane Blocks, but also managed to finish this DJ block. I hand pieced most of this block as it was tricky.
I have had  help from a wonderful Lady named Dawn,a quilter in the States, who has been pointing me in the right direction as far as getting all my blog sorted.

Thank you Dawn.

A Haven't Quite Finished...

All the blocks in Row A, but I have started on Row B

Block B 1 - Batchelors Buttons

This block was pretty easy, but appliqueing those circles was a bit daunting. I haven't done reverse applique before, so I just stitched them down on top.

The next one is

B - 2  Sweet Tater Pie

I stitched the centre together on the machine, cut a circle out of cardboard, as though I was making a yoyo, then appliqued it down onto the background.

B 3 - Mirror Image

Woops that looks a bit skew wif but I'm sure it'll be O.K. when stitched together.

Block 13 - Starlight - Starbright

I really liked this block.
I paper foundation pieced this and it has 17 pieces.

 Block A 8 - Florence Nightingale

I PFP this block. It has 11 pieces

Block 12 - Framed Lucy

Framed Lucy was PFP and has 39 pieces.

Thanks for dropping by

A - 5 Cathy's Campfire

This block was paper foundation pieced and has 29 pieces.

A - 6 Uncle Homer

This block was not P.F. pieced, as you can see how easy it was and only has 9 pieces

The next block is
A 7- Dad's Plaids.

I hand appliqued this piece - as you can see only 8 pieces.

I decided a good way to keep a count of all the pieces in the quilt would be to count them as I go. Alot easier. VBG!
